Data Sources

We use the following publicly available government data:

• FDIC BankFind: Financial data for 4,700+ FDIC-insured banks including total assets, deposits, net income, ROA, ROE, and branch counts.
• CFPB Consumer Complaint Database: Consumer complaint records for financial institutions including issue types and response timeliness.
• FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data): Federal Funds Rate, Treasury yields, and other economic indicators.

Some content on BankRanked is created with the assistance of artificial intelligence and reviewed by our editorial team. All AI-assisted content is clearly labeled. Data-driven pages (bank profiles, state pages, comparisons) are generated programmatically from government data sources.
